about

The Leane exploded onto the Philly scene from Trevose, PA, burning a short, taut fuse between 2006-2008.

The Leane blitzed audiences with their peculiar brand of brooding, high impact, guitar-driven rock'n roll, melting hearts and faces throughout the tristate area. In their smoldering wake, they left behind one self-titled EP, recorded at The Hunt in New Egypt, NJ, and a live album, Down the Way: Live at the 449. In true Leane style, they left the room wanting more.

Founded by Jesse Smith (lead guitar), Miguel "Cuban" Arizmendi (drums), Brett Thompson (bass guitar, vox), and Mike Lost (rhythm guitar, vox), this band of brothers gave it all they had and left nothing on stage. Their final show at the now-defunct Trocadero in Philadelphia got them banned from the venue for life, the highest possible compliment.

To celebrate their infamous end and commemorate their legacy, Pigfoot is reissuing The Leane's brief but bombastic catalogue as one album: Banned for Life. Listen, and be cleansed by fire.
